Martha's Trip to Utah!

I am WAY behind on my blogging. Two weekends ago, my best friend Martha came to visit me. We had such a fun time and I only wish we would have taken more pictures.

We started off Saturday morning with breakfast at Cracker Barrel...Martha's favorite! We did a little shopping and came back to the house and started some long overdue scrapbooking of our trip to Europe back in 2003. Here is the aftermath...

Saturday night, John came over and we had a Fast and Furious Fiesta! It was good times...we watched "The Fast and the Furious" and then we BBQ'd up some carne asada and corn on the cob. Then we settled in to watch "Fast and Furious" lol. It was all about the Nos! We finished the night with John's famous chocolate malts. Seriously, this is the best malt I have ever had. The picture is a little out of focus because I was way too excited to start drinking it. hahaha. Freaking amazing!!!

On Sunday we soaked up some sun in the back yard and then started the Schnitzel frenzy. We made enough schnitzel for about 40 people! lol It was insane! This is a picture of what was left over AFTER Kristie, Martha and I ate about a million pieces. It was scary.

After the Schnitzel frenzy, we drove up to Pine Valley to walk off some of the madness and it was gorgeous up there. Here is Martha doing her Sara Palin impersonation...

When we got home, John came over with a surprise for us...He found Nos energy drink!!! So funny! The weekend was all about the Nos and it was awesome!

Thanks for coming to visit Martha! It was so fun having you here. I miss you like crazy! Come back soon! :)

  1. Martha sounds like a hoot! And a friend i'd like to hang out with too!Tell her she DOES DO A GREAT Sara Pallin impression! What a fun and great fiesta you had as well. You are going to have to explain what in the world is a "schnitzel"? they looked scrumptous but I've never heard of or enjoyed such a delicacy! (sp?) Anyways, great post, glad you had fun, glad you posted, missed hearing from you!

  3. Schnitzel is awesome! My grandpa was German and he got us hooked on it. The way we make it, you slice up pork tenderloin, pound it out pretty thin, dip it in flour, then egg, then breadcrumbs and fry it up in a pan. It is delicious! We like to dip it in ranch or this spicy tomatillo dressing I get here at Durangos. It's even yummy the next morning cold straight from the fridge! So good!
